About True Therapy in Grand Rapids, MI

Aaron George - Counselor, Pyschotherapist

I’ve been practicing for more than 10 years, helping people from various backgrounds with a wide range of concerns. I find it highly rewarding to help people get unstuck, but they deserve the bulk of the credit for seeking help and committing to self-improvement.

I specialize in treating anxiety disorders and stress, applying cognitive-behavioral and relational-frame approaches. Clients often tell me things like, “That was really practical feedback” and “That’s a great question.” This is by design, as I believe my practical-yet-caring approach sets me apart from many therapists.

It’s fairly common for my clients to see rapid improvement, and they tend to maintain the progress they make. Your time is valuable, and my goal is to help get you moving in the right direction as quickly as possible—while treating you with the concern and professionalism I would want for a friend. You can expect reduced stress, increased efficiency, and more time enjoying the things that matter.

I enjoy helping and learning from individuals of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, and alliances. I strive to incorporate each person’s values and practices into a customized counseling experience.
